After Christmas show of cards

Okay, so it took a little longer to post then I had planned. I did a bunch of cards Christmas Eve day and I am gonna go ahead and post them all. I am so ready to work on something besides Christmas cards (like something springy). I have been feeling under the weather so I really don't have any inspiration beside maybe a get well card to myself. Anyway, here are all the cards I made.

This was an svg file I got from somewhere. I get a lot of my svg files from svgcuts blog so that is probably where this one came from.

I absolutely fell in love with this one. It has such a soft look to it. I used blue card stock behind the caption and then put vellum over it to soften the look. The brads are from Making Memories I'm sure. I know they came from Michaels.

Hope you all enjoyed. Now I get get to making something sunny...lol.

A gift card holder

I don't have a scrap room. I had a kitchen table..lol. As of today, I have a corner, I just hope nobody wants to eat at the table :). I needed some space so I took it. Now I can at least see what I have and try to keep it organized. One of these days I'll have a scrap room but not today so this works.

I also decided several days to customize my lil Cricut so here is a pic

And finally, my creation for today is a gift card holder. I got my mom a gift certificate to Michaels for Christmas...ssshhh Sis, don't tell her. I wanted it to be in something special. I used an svg template for a gift card holder (not sure where it came from..sorry) and I used some Jolee's stickers I have had forever. I just used regular old cardstock and the ribbon came from Michaels.

I have a dinner to go to tomorrow night and my mom Christmas Eve and then plans Christmas Day so I don't know that I'll be back on before Monday. If not then I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas!

A step card

Right before Thanksgiving, I was looking at some cards online to find some inspiration and came across the step cards. I made a very special lil man  in my life this card. I found an svg file for my cricut but unfortunately it was for the Expression and I have the Create. I found another template that I used but unfortunately the card would fold back down flat to mail so I had to wait to give it to him in person and I am still looking for a template for that if anyone knows where I can find one, or at least the measurements and all. Anyway, I had a lot of fun making this card.

I don't have a lot of card making tools. I have a Cricut create (not the big one, which I would love love love to have), paper, a few stickers, pop dots, markers and brown ink pad. Yes just one ink pad. Anyway, my point is this, my work isn't going to look like people who have tons of stuff to make a card and emboss it and all but I put all of my heart into each on and hope you enjoy.

Father's Day Card

Man, I am on a roll. I have 2 posts back to back. Really though, I made this card for a challenge at My Pink Stamper. http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ . The challenge was to use teal or blue, green and brown. Wish me luck, this will be my first ever challenge. I quilled circles to match the paper and my Sure Cuts A Lot software along with my Cricut to make the title. Enjoy!

My First Blog Post

Okay, so, I have never had a blog. I know in this day and time that seems impossible but alas, it is true. I needed a place to put my paper crafts so I could link to them and this seemed the easiest way. I am NOT a creative person. Usually I see someone or several someone's ideas and add my own touch to that. Sometimes I get on a roll but time and a space of my own seem to be a real issue. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my crafts.
